Warner Bros. Online partners with 180 Solutions

May 10th, 2006 by Todd Crawford

I was surprised to read in MediaPost that Warner Bros. Online has a partnership with 180 Solutions to distribute two new shows via its consumer site Zango.com. One of the shows is an animated feature called “Medical Island” and the other is a soap opera (appropriately) called “Deception”. The rub here is if you wish to watch these shows, you need to download and install 180 Solution’s adware first. What will they think of next? I am scared.

So let me get this straight, I get both adware and a bad TV show all for the price of one???

Will they throw in a virus and shammy too?

Warner Brothers and 180Solutions Equals Zango for Soap.

Chris Boyd checked in from the, It’s too insane not to be true department, and now we have another piece of ripped-up reality that makes you wonder what rock ad agencies hide under or perhaps who dinged them in the…

You only get the virus’ from their distributors- it’s not their fault.

There’s even a MySpace connection. Basically MySpace’s chairman is hedging with adware and domain squatting…. errr… “direct navigation.” Forgive me for mocking this new multi-million dollar “industry.”

I once thought that the affiliate marketing industry was shameful in how it treats Web users and advertisers. This Rosenblatt guy is quite a piece of work. Can you imagine growing up with a guy like this as your dad? Think about how a 10 year old would describe what daddy does for a living… what joys he brings into the world… the lives he enriches through adware, MySpace (a colossal time-wasting device, aside from the other problems they’re having!) and screwing over advertisers with the lowest value clicks that is legally possible (which Ben Edelman is now, of course, challenging via the Yahoo lawsuit).

I posted about this within seconds of reading about it on our blog as well. My first reaction was ‘Good grief, what in the world were they thinking?’.

I’m a little surprised that so few people have mentioned this so far :-/

From Yapbrowser puking up kiddie porn on any search term to 180Solutions legions of cybercriminal infestation partnerships proves why even Warner Bros Adwhores want in on the action. Jeff points out the Myspace pedophile playground founder now wants into parked domain typo squating action and fronts for draining PPCSE advertising accounts with junk or phoney click traffic.

Look on the bright side of this sleazy online Ad business. The brain washed jehadi children now have a career path thats more destructive to western morals and ethics then donning suicide vests. Rahter then attack Madison Ave they can qualify for executive positions… LOL.
