getting lucky?

July 24th, 2006 by Tim Storm

Seth has a rerun on his blog today, from 2004 - Factor L.

While there is no question that “luck” certainly exists, I do believe that there is more to business success than just “luck”.

I consider it luck when you take no action to influence an outcome.

While a business or person is limited in their ability to completely control a situation, being prepared, and awareness of an opportunity is NOT luck.

This is not to say that every attempt will succeed, but doing the right thing for the right time at least gets you the opportunity to succeed.

I wholeheartedly agree! Luck is what happens after you have made the decision to set sail, losing sight of the shore. Preparedness for the opportunities life presents us with is the key to good business strategy.
