The “Old Green Lady” Will Be Dancing Again Soon
I’m working with the great folks at ContentRobot to move ReveNews from MovableType4 over to WordPress. I cannot tell you how excited I am that this is finally happening. The great news for me, for the ReveNews bloggers and (most importantly) for you, the ReveNews readers is that the move will be done in the next few weeks before the upcoming Affiliate Summit in Las Vegas at the end of the month.
So, what does a move to ReveNews mean for everyone?
1) The site will look pretty much the same. There will, of course, be a few small changes but we’re carrying this new theme with us over to WP.
2) For readers here, the commenting process will be much simpler and less time consuming.
3) For the bloggers here, the ability to post on the fly very quickly without the fear of the redundant “republishing” process that MovableType requires will mean for more posts.
4) If you are at all familiar with blogging, you know of the fantastic plugins and tweaks made available by the WordPress community. I can’t wait to get a few of those up and running to take ReveNews into the next 10 years of its existence. One I’m thinking of is Disqus for commenting. Let me know your thoughts.
5) More video and audio.
6) Happier publisher.
I could go on and on with this list as I’m completely excited about the changes. The closest analogy would be something akin to how I felt on Christmas morning at age 12. I kid you not.
