Useful Sitemap FAQ from Horse’s Mouth

A ton of views and tutorials have been written about Sitemaps, but it’s nice to see a robust and current FAQ – at least from Google’s perspective.

It gets into everything from technical formatting and placement to the purpose of the Sitemaps and why there still isn’t a guarantee that a website will be crawled in a timely or complete manner. I especially like some of the myths (i.e. getting penalized after submitting a Sitemap).
