The SEO Clinic Took Care Of It’s First Patient

I announced last week the new Column at SearchEngineJournal.com called “SEO Clinic” where the Editors of SEJ review sites for free and provide comments and recommendation to improve their traffic and search engine visibility.

The first patient made it through the process and is well. There were no major complications during the medical exam and the results are now published publicly.

The client was Techmith, a software company that provides tools such as the Screen Capture tool SnagIt.

Contributer to the Review were Jessica Bowman of SEMInhouse.com, Rhea Drysdale, Social Media Specialist at SEJ, Ahmed Bilal of SEOHotline.com, Gemme van Hasselt of ChinaSnippets.com, Loren Baker of SearchEngineJournal.com, me and as a special guest Bill Slawski of SEO by the SEA.

The post is very long and detailed and believe me, it’s not even all that was provided. Loren had to cut down some of it and provided it the client directly. The review will also give other Webmasters some insights and ideas to improve their sites. I had a lot of fun and are looking forward to the next patient for the coming week.

To submit your site for consideration read Lorens post from last week.

    Hi Shayan,

go to this post at SearchEngineJournal.com

Post a comment where you suggest your site and also a compelling reason would help. You know, only one site is picked every week and there are more sites that ask for a review.

Thanks for working on that project and letting people know about it. The written record of the case studies will be invaluable to a lot of folks.

    Thanks for the encouragement Mike.

It's also interesting for me since I am not a professional SEO. I also learn from it :)

I think its great, because everybody wins. This whole thing can be taken even further. Our current "patient" will be a good example, because it is not a retailer or services provider. Social media will play a much larger role than it did for Techsmith.

And at the end, it's fun and helping somebody feels good, paid or not does not change that.

I'm not a professional SEO, don't pay much attention to my nickname ;) . But I try to do my best to visit different conferences and seminars, sometimes even blog posts (for example, yours) can give some useful information.
