Affiliates are always looking to understand the mind of the consumer. Knowing how they think will enable you to drive more and better traffic. I’d suggest checking out the work of Douglas Hofstadter. He’s famous for the book Godel, Escher, Bach: an Eternal Golden Braid, and provides an accessible, down-to-earth examination of how people think. I saw him speak at Stanford University yesterday on “Analogy as the Core of Cognition” .
