…let’s hope so
Howard, Steve, and the other good folks at Vertive are launching a cool new site with a great URL. By the time you read![]()
this blog post Offers.com will be live. Steve gave me a preview of the site before it launched and it definitely looks better than most coupon shopping sites out there.
The folks at Vertive feel that what makes this site different is the easy to remember URL, the site design, and the editorial content. Now I agree that the URL is short and sweet. I also agree that the design is clean and easy to navigate. However, I feel the real differential is the added editorial content that they “offer”. This is not just another “Sunday Circular” coupon listing site. I get the feeling that the folks at Vertive are really trying to invest in developing valuable content for users. Of course it is no
coincidence that the addition of editorial content should also help with the SEO and PPC search promotion efforts of this site.
Good luck fellas…we can never have enough super affiliates.
Hi Peter,
Thanks for the head’s up on Vertive’s new site, offers.com. It is a strong looking site and I look forward to watching their progress as the site matures.
peter
thanks for post this. Steve has done a great job with Vertive and the new site is very well done.
Love to know the story behind getting the URL!?
Great to see a new high quality super aff site live.
Congratulations Steve and team!
I was looking for “the editorial content” and the sections listed under “Editor’s review” looks like info scraped from the offer info.
Have been navigating through the rest of the site and had difficulty finding the original content (if that is the reference to “editorial content”).
Can someone point it out to me?
Tks.
I am not sure what info you are suggesting is scraped. All of the content in the Service Offers section is original. The Coupons and promos in the Retail section come from the Affiliate Networks, however the expensive categorization of those are all done by in-house editors.

@steve
I was referring to the info from the “Editor’s Review” section (eg: http://www.offers.com/booksonline/doubleday-r/review/) being similar to the offer information listed in the affiliate network.
By “editorial content” as mentioned by Peter, I expected “review” type content, rather than the specs as provided by the advertiser/merchant.
Do we have different understanding of the phrase “editorial content”?
Actually I was referring more to the few articles that are posted like this one http://www.offers.com/guide/article/genealogy/. I believe offers.com will be rolling out more content like this in the future. I am not sure how they decide what topics to cover but I am guessing its related to the shopping aspect of the site and content that will help with SEO.
@Peter
Thanks for the clarification.
