Eight Short But Great Video Gems

Videos become more and more important. The purchase of YouTube by Google for 1.6 billion dollars shows, mainstream use of video has arrived and there is no turning back.

I watched a large number of videos over the last months myself and I want to share with you my personal favorites which are related to Internet marketing for the most part (with a few exceptions).

Controversial

1. Master Plan – About the power of Google

I came across that one via the WebProNews.com Vlog who mentioned that during one of their daily news videos. Well done video that asks some disturbing questions.

2. Ask A Ninja Special Delivery 4 “Net Neutrality”

Funny with a serious background. Sam Harrelson from Costpernews.com pointed me to that one. I became one of the many “Ninja” Fans and even bought the DVD ($20).

3. A YouTube Clip with Google Ads?! (nooo!)

Video by our ex-ReveNews blogger Shmuly Tennenhaus aka oneparkave. Visit his page at YouTube to watch his other videos as well (80+). You might also want to check his website “paging ari gold“.

Educational

4. Web 2.0 … The Machine is Us/ing Us

Well done video that explains without using any words the meaning of Web 2.0. I came across that one also via the WebProNews.com Vlog.

5. The Hubble Deep Field: The Most Important Image Ever Taken

I am interested in astronomy, but I think that this is interesting for anybody. I came across this one via Digg.com.

6. The scale of things in the Universe

Nice visual demonstration that shows how unimportant and tiny our planet and even our sun is compared to other objects in the universe. I found it at Digg.com video.

7. what is “Brand”? The Show with ZeFrank

Video removed from YouTube as per Ze’s request from 7/29/2007.

Funny, but explicit. Sam Harrelson from Costpernews.com was again the one that pointed me to it.

Visionary

8. Bumptop Prototype – Desktop of the Future?!

This is no joke, but a real prototype. Pretty cool desktop. Better than Microsoft Vista :) . I came across this one on Digg.com.

I hope you enjoy them as much as I did.
If you know about other great videos that you strongly recommend, let me know. Thanks.

Carsten

This is weird – I have seen 4 of these videos – 2 just this morning before you posted them here. I guess we all think alike here. Thanks for posting them.

Tell me about it. Wayne posted about Videos just before me. I collected the links to the videos earlier this week though.

Shawn did start Video Blogging (I don't consider his singing video blogging :) ). He provided useful tips in his Vlog post.

There must be something in the air.

Matt, Nice! I saw one already. The Famous "why social media hates SEO video" :)

I'm sorry, but 2 minutes into the video called the "Master Plan", the narrotor says that Google's vision is

"to deliver any kind of information to anyone, anywhere…"

After clearing the CRAP out of my throat, and thinking ever so briefly about how Google is a wonderful lapdog for Chinese Communism, and about the "types" of information that Google Doesn't allow people in China to research, like the words "FREEDOM" and "RELIGION"…

…Their motto "Don't Be Evil" made me laugh so hard that I fell out of my chair, promptly dosconecting the connection to their propoganda video…

    Hitler would be SO proud!

    My Apologies…

After picking mysef back up off the floor from my laughing fit, I decided to finish the google video…very NICE!

I agree with the author whole heartedly!

Google spelled backwards is indeed SATAN!

I would not call Google Satan or compare it with Hitler (just because nothing would be left to call something much more evil that).

I would settle for "Business" and that the guys called "reality" and "real world" moved in with the idealistic Stanford students.

I am from Berlin/Germany. The 1968 student movement full of ideals that eclipsed in heavy street riots demonstrated nicely how it goes. "Hello foreign minister Mr. Joschka Fischer". :)

These are Funny! I went to the link posted above concerning the 10 worst internet marketing videos ever.

    This one is really funny

    4) E-Business Online Strategy

In case you weren’t aware, there’s something called the “internet.” This old man explains it in depth. By the way, this was uploaded a few months ago, not in 1995.
