RSS: a Solution to Spam?

Nearly 2/3 of all email sent is spam Media Post recently reported. Depressing isn’t it? Legislation and filters don’t seem to work to well.

Maybe, the answer to spam might be Really Simple Syndication (RSS)…makes you think doesn’t it? RSS is cleary a solution for email newsletters (and is being used now), but can it work for personal emails too?

By using RSS, the user requests information and pulls it from a server; this provides much more control than just accepting everything sent to a mailbox. Perhaps, there needs to be a paradigm shift in thinking about what is the solution to spam.
