Masterminding Affiliate Management: The Paying for Performance Tele-conference
One of the biggest challenges for affiliate managers today is getting best practices and training. Sure there are lots of forums like Digital Point or AbestWeb, conferences like SES and the Affiliate Summit and countless blogs, but the reality is there isn’t a place where someone can learn “how to do” affiliate marketing. For the past year or so a number of affiliate managers have gathered under the wing of Alan Dick, the CMO of Vintage Tub and Bath for a conference call to discuss the issues that retail affiliate managers face while doing business online.Typically industry leaders were invited to talk about a specific issue and then the floor was opened up for questions.
While informally known as the Vintage Tub and Bath call, this year they’ve gotten a bit more formal, expanding the call to include all aspects of performance marketing and re-branding it the “Paying For Performance” teleconference. Along with Alan Dick, Jeff Molander will be hosting and moderating the upcoming calls. The next call is scheduled to occur on February 20th and will feature a debate and discussion on how to balance affiliate marketing and paid search activities. The keynote speakers for this upcoming call will be:
Larry Joseloff, Sr. Director of Content
Shop.org (a former affiliate manager for brands within Commission Junction and at Discovery Channel Store)
Kristopher Jones, President & CEO
Pepperjam Network
Kevin Lee, Exec. Chairman & Founder
Did-It
If you are a retail affiliate manager who is interested in joining the call, e-mail Alan Dick at Alan *at* vintagetub.com for a call in number.
Past participants such as Kitchen Collection’s Trish Tickle have said, “The monthly calls are a life blood for me. As the sole person charged with e-commerce marketing management at a mid-sized multi-channel retailer, I need a support group that speaks my language,”
So there you have it. Go do it. Learn and do good. Join the Paying for Performance call.
