Google Grabs JotSpot

Google made some noise today, buying JotSpot. Financial terms of the deal are not being disclosed, though according to Google’s FAQ, the deal is officially closed. Check here for the deets that were disclosed.

It’s easy to see what they’re doing here. By grabbing Jotspot and it’s 30,000 clients, google is simultaneously adding a new base to their index AND continuing to firm up it’s open office suite. It will be interesting to see what’s next for the boys and girls at the Googplex.
