Calling all B2B Affiliate Marketers

September 2nd, 2004 by Ola Edvardsson

B2B Affiliate programs - Do they even exist?

Of course they do. There are the normal web hosting, credit card and office
supply offers… but affiliate marketing is a very very consumer-focused world.
Why is that?

Well, finding businesses online is a very expensive task and business traffic tends to sell for a premium.

Any website with a cluster of them tends to either focus on selling their own products or services or sell high cpm ads.

Is there even a revenue-sharing industry to speak of for business offers? I exclude work-from home and business opportunity offers which are every where.

Heading over to B2BLinkshare I now count 7 public programs. (not surprisingly two of them are office supplies). None of them are really led gen programs which seems very natural for a b2b audience but strictly transactional.

Do you have a business audience on your site? Do you use affiliate programs to generate revenue?

Or does your company target business users and have a b2b oriented affiliate program?

I would love to talk to you 1:1 and share some best practices. Please shoot me an email at “ola at performancy.com”.

Have a great long weekend if you’re in the US or Canada. :)
