Affiliates are the traffic signs of the Internet.
But why don’t more affiliates add a toll-booth?
There are many exceptions but it would be fair to say that the majority of affiliate marketers essentially move search-based traffic to advertisers.
The most extreme example is to buy links on Google Adwords that go straight to the merchant / advertiser. ( By the way…does it work? Of course it does if you do it right. )
Consumer that are actively searching for a specific product or service are the cream of the crop of traffic. They’re buyers. And a lot of affiliates do a great job of capitalizing on that.
But what’s the next step? Adding your own brand and your own site into the mix.
Instead of just sending people away have them register (opt-in) to receive updates and buying tips from you.
You then build real equity for your self instead of just getting one-time commissions.
You can do repeat selling and you will pretty much have the same valuable customers on your list that your advertisers do. They might even be buying email advertising from you down the road.
The most simple thing you can do is to capture email and follow-up on an ongoing basis and keep the list warm. Check out services such as optinpro.com, aweber.com and getresponse.com .
Write 10-12 follow-up emails and schedule them automatically for the next 6-12 months.
Happy Selling! ( And Congratulations To Your New Toll Booth! )

The “ListGrab” is what I call it and, well, it makes a lot more money than any other method.
And, unlike the Googlecash method (their term, not mine), when I want traffic, I just email my list - it doesn’t cost me a dime.
Great to see you posting, Ola!
