As a retained headhunter I spent over 12 years online digging for information about companies I would either help build or tear apart and bombarded with ads to th point I ignore and block out all. It's like having a no soliciting sign on you door, yet everybody keeps knocking to the point you don't answer the door anymore. If Facebook, MySpace, and Youtube are so valuable then I have a company Rupert Muroch will want. I will be presenting the business plan and concept soon and will probably sell it for 250 million before it even gets started. Stay tuned....

Myspace, Youtube, Metacafe and others are making money, that's for sure. It's Web 2.0 at its finest, and I feel we are only seeing the tip of the iceberg, at this point.

Many are looking (and paying) to figure out HOW and WHAT is to be used in this new realm for profit and networking.
I've stumbled upon something that is filling a "need", and I'm certain will help others trying to chart the path I'm on.

Why not USE, the "eyeballs"....? ;-)

Well, I really wanted to comment on Richard's MySpace blog that went up today about their security and the problems associated with running an open social community. However, comments were blocked (why???) so here I am because no-one reported on this as I saw despite lots of criticism on this particular site for MySpace in the last few weeks...

Their recent efforts for security include the following... and probably should be included in any discussion of what they are doing to curb the problem.

<a href="http://www.nytimes.com/2006/04/11/technology/11cnd-myspace.html?ex=1145678400&en=aa7548307b9ee179&ei=5070" rel="nofollow">http://www.nytimes.com/2006/04/11/technology/11cn...</a>

Don't get me wrong, MySpace deserves criticism in this case, I just think the above should be pointed out...

Perhaps the powers that be can magically morph this comment to the correct blog. poof. :)
