Radio Advertising with Google
Looks like Google may be preparing to launch their Radio advertising network,
Google spokesperson Michael Mayzel advised me several weeks ago that Google Audio Ads is indeed on track for an official 2006 marketplace introduction. Source: Digital Macro-Markets
One stop advertising will be convenient for advertisers, I’m sure, but Google will be holding too many of the cards, if you ask me. Here are the steps they are looking at to make it happen;
Step 1) Station inventory management system and studio log.
Step 2) Google links electronically with stations to search for inventory that fits advertiser criteria.
Step 3) Inventory is paired with advertiser requests.
Step 4) Google delivers automated order to radio station and reserves inventory.
800+ radio stations with 5,000 the target number, covering 19 of the top 25 markets. Anybody got a radio voice? I’ve just got the face for radio and the voice for print.
