eBay and Checkout from Aff Summit

At the end of Alan Lewis‘ (eBay’s Chief Technical Evangelist) interesting presentationtoday at Affiliate Summit, there was a short question and answer period. No one spoke up initially and Alan made the great comment…

“So, no one wants to ask me about Google Checkout?”

I leaned forward at this point and thought of all the potential scoops this could entail. The audience spoke up en masse with “so what about Google Checkout?” to which Lewis replied…

“I’m not allowed to talk about Google Checkout.”

Darn. Still an interesting session on eBay’s vision of their involvement in the the affiliate community with AdContext and open API’s.
