David Wolf Co Founder of Syntryx was kind enough to answer a few questions for me as a follow up to my previous post concerning my demo experience with the Syntryx software. I apologize for taking so long to post this follow up but I have been busy getting ready for the affiliate summit in Miami this July! I am determined not to look like a giant marshmallow this year!

HP - Question - How does Syntryx obtain its information? A brief overview is fine.

DW - Answer - We utilize a distributed crawling system modeled after ant colonies. The individual ant agents, although simple, produce super-structures that provide rich insights that search engines like Google hide.

HP - Question - How often do you update your Syntryx Information?

DW - Answer - Constantly. Machine learning and crawling processes are always running at maximum capacity.

HP - Question - Can you tell me about the founder(s) of Syntryx? And how did this software come to be.

DW - Answer - David Wolf and Balazs Nagy began developing what came to be known as Syntryx in 2002. David sought to solve his own pains of affiliate recruiting, media buying and SEO, and built the original software that rests on top of Balazs’ distributed infrastructure architecture. Balazs holds 3 master degrees and worked at CERN while the Swiss rocket scientists were inventing HTML.

HP - Question - Where do you see Syntryx in five years? What new features and functions do you foresee having?

DW - Answer - We’re steadily rolling along the path of tying internet performance to portfolios and stock symbols. We’re hopeful that financial markets will reward internet companies based upon performance growth, and that having this knowledge in advance of earnings reports will be of material influence when investing.

HP - Question - What is your favorite feature in Syntryx few people might use or know about?

DW - Answer - The automatic portfolio aggregation is simply fun. Rather than relying upon teams of dozens or hundreds of human monkeys, we’ve developed powerful relational algorithms that automatically aggregate domain portfolios. If you want to realize that Sara Lee owns the Hanes, WonderBra, and Jimmy Dean Sausage brands, Syntryx will solve it. It’s particularly meaningful when trying to identify super-affiliates or looking at holding firms like ValueClick, DoubleClick, CitiGroup and Expedia.

HP - Question - What is the number one reason people will want to use Syntryx?

DW - Answer - Affiliate recruiting, non-search media buying, and social SEO development. Syntryx is the only vehicle that would allow Travelocity to buy ads directly on 3,000 Expedia affiliate sites via Google Site Targeting campaigns.

HP - Question - What industry events will you be attending in 2007 and demonstrating Syntryx software in the US or Abroad?

DW - Answer - dunno…

HP - Question - Will you have any type of CRM management tool attached to Syntryx in the future to help us manage our domain dossiers and contact dossiers?

DW - Answer - We are a Here-Ware-friendly company, and look forward to fuller future CRM integration.
