Shmuly Joins HBO

When Shmuly Tennenhaus bid farewell to Revenews, I tried to start a rumour that he was Jon Stewart picked him up for The Daily Show. It turns out Comedy Central didn’t land Shmuly… HBO did… at least according to AdRants.
It appears that AdRants caught on to HBO’s latest fake blog, PagingAriGold. The only problem is that it is a fan site by none other than our former own Shmuly. Rumour has it that allof Hollywood is abuzz with Paging Ari Gold and checking out the site… all 2 posts. There is a comment from someone claiming to be Rex Lee (I say claiming only because it can’t be verified but I want to think it really is), the actor who plays Ari Gold’s assistant on Entourage.

Dave, the URL to AdRants does not work because of some extra characters at the end of the URL, after “…-of-ari-gold-in-hbo-e.php”.
Shmuly’s blog is also not accessible for some reasons. mhh.

hi it’s rex lee- the real rex lee. i play lloyd on entourage. i am the guy that left the comment for shmuly on his blog/fan site. meet me tomorrow at the premiere for “wild hogs” at the el captian and i will prove in person that i am who i say i am
Rex, is that an invitation to go to the premiere or to wait around the red carpet? I’m not a red carpet person so if it’s just that, can I buy you a drink beforehand (say 4:00 or 5:00 which will give you time to make the 6:30ish arrival for “Wild Hogs”).

No word from Rex today. Looks like I won’t be seeing “Wild Hogs” today.
I did see Carson Kressley of “Queer Eye” filming on 3rd Street Promenade today. Not quite the same thing as going to a premiere with Lloyd. Think about it… I’d be one step closer to meeting Ari Gold than Shmuly!
oops, i messed that one up. didn’t check back here til now. anyway, i guess i was always destined to disappoint you ’cause i did just mean meet on the red carpet. it’s hard for me to invite people i have never met to the actual event- not how my momma raised me… anyway, i don’t really have the next event lined up although i am considering going to the tori spelling party later this week. take care. rex
Lloyd, why don’t I stop by the office some time. Maybe I can meet Ari that way. Who knows, maybe Vinny will be in the office working things out with Ari. You know that Aquaman is one of my favorite movies.
If not, I’m going to have to track Ari down at the park with his kids. Yeah, it’s sleazy to use my kids that way but I need to get representation… especially before Shmuly does!
