For an affiliate network pepperjam is good one. Easy to use interface and they have surely created a lot of buzz with their network.

Yes, congratulations Kris and also kudos to David for the great coverage. I plan to write about the technical details of their new network, once my account was approved and becomes active.

I am already exited and look forward to see how a company that actually does understand affiliate marketing and the various types of affiliates, e.g. search affiliates, comparison shopping affiliates and others, does an affiliate network. I only expect the best, so please don't let me down on this one Kris!

Wow! Thanks for your thorough and fair review of Pepperjam Network.

The comment about how Pepperjam has helped energize Wilkes-Barre, PA took my breath away – thanks man!

We went from two employees to over 100 because we care about what we do and we have the fortitude to carry out our vision. Yes, I was referring to Performics, Google's new affiliate network. Google entered affiliate marketing with its acquisition of Picasa in 2004. Then it closed the affiliate program.

There have been rumours and speculation about Google's plans to take over affiliate marketing. They go along with Google's plans to take over everything else.

To answer your question, the word out of Chicago is business as usual. I haven't heard anything about Performics from the Googleplex.

Besides just being big, CJ's failure to provide sufficient value to their partners has caused all kinds of spin-offs and shifts in this industry. I see this as another example and expect to see more, for years to come.

Your headline seems to infer that Google bought an afffiliate network, I'm assuming you're referring to the DoubleClick purchase that came along with Performics. If so, have you heard any updates anywhere about what G's plan for that subsidiary of DC is? I'm wondering what will emerge there once the last euro hurdle is cleared and they're free to operate towards change, or not…
