Zay Does Affiliate Summit and Paging Shmuly

From Shawn Collins…on Ze Frank.

Ze Frank (pronounced “Zay”), the keynote speaker for Affiliate Summit 2007 East, provides a truly entertaining and yet insightful look at how technology and creativity intersect, especially in web design, marketing and new forms of media.

Ze has unique experience doing new media design and marketing for important customers, helping them understand viral marketing and the contagious media in which it takes place, and to think about creative development in general.

He spent two months in 2004 as Artist in Residence at MSN, helping them develop strategies for creating online community spaces-his specialty

I got turned on to Ze Frank by Brian Clark and badgering by CostPerNews’ Sam Harrelson. I am glad I did.

Other notes in the blogosphere…Shmule- YouTube mixer has launched http://pagingarigold.com/. Why?

To Shmule: I advise to stop trying to catch the attention of Hollywood- you are indy media- build your own show, your own audience, and sell that into hollywood….you somehow have the unique DNA for it, I figured that out early on when love and hate mail came into ReveNews. Anytime you see a mix like that- you are getting attention. Attention can be leveraged into revenue…eventually.

Perhaps you need to stop embracing the old paradigm and get in with the new. Build your audience first, generate fandom, and they will come looking for you. The “old media” are already scouting the new.

It is not always who you know. It is who knows you…I think I have said that before, but I will say it again.

Funny that you also did a post about videos :)

How did you select the category "Online Video"? I don't see that category from my blog.

I have a bunch of other videos, nerdy, controversial and historical which I will not post here are ReveNews, but at my personal blog.

I just crunched my favorites together this week :) .
