Sweet Deal for SES San Jose

July 30th, 2006 by Carsten Cumbrowski

About a week from now starts Search Engine Strategies in San Jose. This SES will be the biggest SES of the whole year with 5 parallel running sessions on 4 days, Reps from all major Search Engines and the who is who in SEO and SEM.

If you did register for SES yet and may be whining because the price for the platinum pass and one-day pass increased by $100 on July 25, listen to this.

The Goole Analytics Team released end of last week a priority code that gives you 20% off the SES registration fee. You save $359 on a platinum pass (that’s $259 more than the saving for registering before July, 25) and $139 on an one-day pass ($39 more saving than the saving because of early registration).

The Priority code is 20GOO2 (two-zero-gee-oh-oh-two).

There are two more reasons why you should attend SES San Jose.

Reason 1. Google’s CEO Eric Schmidt himself will show up and engage in active conversation with attendees on Wednesday (8/9) morning. Good choice of day, because most people will be too much hung over to ask serious questions that could get Mr. Schmidt into trouble. Why is that?

That brings me to Reason 2.
Every SES Attendee with a badge is invited to join the fifth annual “Google Dance” at the Googleplex on Tuesday night, August, 8th. The Theme of the event is “Google Labs” so bring your lab coat if you have one and don’t worry about food and (alcoholic) beverages. Insiders tell the rumor that there will be no shortage on alcohol. You must RSVP to the Event and you better do it soon.

I have a platinum pass and want to bring a friend along who is my host in San Jose, but not in the Internet Marketing business. I contacted Google about that and they confirmed that you don’t have to have a platinum or one-day pass to get invited. The $25 Expo Pass is enough.

Did you get that? Free Food, Booze and Fun with the Engineers from Google (the ones that are responsible for your Google Ranking that could be improved) for only $25 (and you can meet some Search Engine Guys during the day at the Expo too)

I hope that I provided enough reasons for the still undecided to come to San Jose and have a good time. Register now or miss out and have regrets for the rest of the year or even longer.

Hey Carsten - Isn’t the heatwave over? Sounds more like a sweet deal :)

Shoot :). I fixed the title, but the file name of this post will remind me of this typo. Thanks Peter.

Hi Carsten,

I hope that I get the chance to see you there.

Hi Bill,

I am sure we will. I have a platinum pass and be attending a lot of the sessions. Even with 5 running parallel should we end up in the same from time to time. Then there is the Google Dance and I heard of some other parties that are planned too :). I think we will manage to bump into each other. It’s not the Love Parade in Berlin with 1-2 Mio. People hehe.

Cheers,
Carsten
