3 Free Video Marketing Tools You Can’t Live Without
It still amazes me how many companies haven’t taken advantage of video when they are putting together social media marketing plans. Video marketing is an awesome way to connect with your audience, define the benefits of products, tell your side of a story if you have bad publicity, demonstrate the effectiveness of products, and create trust with testimonials. Some companies and people are afraid that it costs too much and others are scared that people will spoof their videos. If someone spoofs your video, that isn’t always a bad thing since it may go viral and get your brand out there, and sometimes they parody a video because they enjoyed it. If cost is an issue that is stopping you from using video, or you don’t know where to start, here are three tools you can use that all have free options.
Expand Distribution: TubeMogul
TubeMogul recently changed its site and added to their services. What they became known for a few years ago was their video distribution and analytics platform which is now called Oneload. Luckily they still offer this tool, and they have a free version for you to use. What I like about it is that I can send my videos out to every major video site and can monitor the reach, along with the other analytics, that it gets. While I haven’t used the service for a while, I do have a new client that we’re signing up for a free account.
Conversions and Interactions: Viewbix
Viewbix is a company I’ve partnered with because I’m absolutely obsessed with their product. One of the largest issues people have with video came from tracking and creating conversions, creating interactions with customers, measuring real results, and limitations on mobile devices because of Flash. Viewbix created a solution for video marketing that allows you to add in calls to action like coupons, RSS feeds, Skype (you can call through a video), video streams, picture streams, email address collection, social sharing, maps, and more.
You also have the option to share your videos on Facebook, Twitter, and other sites while keeping all of the functionality in place. Viewbix offers a customizable skin so you can make your YouTube or other hosted videos blend in or contrast more with your site on a custom looking player. Since Viewbix uses HTML5 to play video, mobile devices can now view your videos. Viewbix has a ton of functionality, and you can use affiliate links within the player, so you now have a new tool (with a free version) that can take your videos to the next level. Think about the potential and reach on sites like Facebook and Pinterest with the sharing and pinning features.
Editing, Animation, and Creation: Blender
Blender is a tool I’ve started playing with. It is an open-source, 3D video creation suite that you can download for free. So far, I see the video tutorials that make Blender easy to use are one of its best features. There is also the added benefit that you can create 3D animations to attract more people. Although I’m not an expert yet and still need to learn this software better, it is a great free tool to explore.
Video marketing has been around for a long time now. If it’s something that you’re not doing, you need to. It can drive traffic to your site, increase your conversions, and with tons of free and inexpensive tools available, you need to put them to use and add video to your marketing plan.
