A year ago, I was blogging a little bit here at ReveNews in a section called “The Grey” about this big transformation that was getting ready to take place at ReveNews. ReveNews wasn’t a new brand, mind you, but after a mess of a hiatus when their ceased being much good news to report it took the idea of ReveNews as a community instead of a publication to get the ball rolling again. And what a difference a year makes.
Alexa tells a pretty good story of what that year has been like for ReveNews. This two year graph (where the relaunch is smack dab in the middle of the graph) is part of the story:

It’s just as fun, though, to wax competitive for a moment (all apologies to Tig and Jason) by comparing the last year of ReveNews to “similar but bigger” networks:

But that would miss the point of the germ of what makes the new ReveNews work: that it is, in fact, a community, a mix of old faces and new ones, traditional ideas with radical ones. OMG! It’s a community! We can’t work like this!!
My hats off to everyone here for proving that maybe Tom Sawyer wasn’t pulling anything over on anyone when he convinced them how fun it was to paint the fence white. The fun is in doing it together.
And a catty moment by Mr. Clark towards Tig and Jason. lol!
