Commission Junction for Sale?

A friend of mine who works on Wall Street called me on Friday to ask about a rumor. He does this all the time, but this time the rumor was rather interesting. He said he heard Commission Junction is for sale. I had heard ValueClick is for sale recently from a few people, but not CJ as a solo act.
No idea if it’s true, but it is interesting and given that CJ is a key profit center for ValueClick, it does make one think.
I know it’s a rumor, so take it for what it is.

Hi Beth,
When reporting/publicizing such rumors, it’s always a good idea for the author to mention his or her current position on the stocks implied.
Fair enough, I don’t own any valueclick stock.

I guess this rumor turned out to be false, I run a ad network called http://www.aimclicks.com and would love to see smaller competitors
