The 5 Days Of Affiliate Summit Build Up

The Affiliate Summit starts next weekend. The show has sold out and is expecting I believe about 1700 people! That’s about triple from the last one… Wow! This will be my 4th or 5th Summit I think, and they keep getting better.

I’d really like to see this event grow even bigger and attract more and more online marketing people. While Shawn & Missy don’t need any more publicity, nor did they pay for me to talk about this, I feel it’s important to keep the coverage going about this event so it can grow. (New Year’s resolution: Think more like a journalist)

So, for the next five days, starting Monday, I’ll be writing a post a day about the Summit, in some context. I’d encourage other ReveNews bloggers to share their thoughts as well as the event approaches.

    Hey Jim -

    It’s 3x the size of the first Affiliate Summit in Vegas (June 2005), but we had about 1,250 in Miami.

    This one is a bit over 1,700.

    The exhibit hall is about 6x the size of the June 2005 Vegas show floor clocking in at 100 booths.

    Affiliate Summit is always an event I look forward to. I like it more than network events because at Affiliate Summit you meet people from all networks. There is a broader range of people to meet. The sessions are more in depth.

    I always think of Affiliate Summit as a family reunion of sorts.

    It’s my first Summit (yeah, I admin, I am a summit virgin ;) ) and I am really looking forward to it as well.

    For reasons Connie pointed out and to meet a lot of people I was not able to meet yet.

    I am worried that there will not be enough time for all of that, but fortunately are there some events on the side that will help, like Brooks Affiliate Dinner on Saturday before the Summit begins.
