Revenews.com Captures MarketingSherpa Blogging Award

As a Revenews co-founder I received the call to make a comment on our recent honor- that Revenews had captured MarketingSherpa’s Best Affiliate Marketing Blog. For the record we do a lot more than affiliate marketing, but it is a big honor at any rate. We will never lose our roots of course.

To those who are new to the MarketingSherpa Blog/Podcast Awards it is a fierce competition where Sherpa readers and other readers pick the best of the best. Sherpa is a massive site with, I believe, over 250,000 readers in all lines of business. To even be nominated is a high honor!

Sherpa Note: ReveNews is perhaps the oldest blog in this Awards. Launched in 1998 as an RSS headline feed of affiliate marketing news, it’s now packed with fresh, original content co-written by merchant-side marketers as well as top affiliate marketing consultants.

I think newly returned Sam Harrelson was accidentally left off the list, but make no mistake his blogs are high quality material- do not miss them. I can assure you we have some other great bloggers coming on board soon too!

Also let us not forget our news editors, always patrolling the e-commerce avenues, Jessica Luthi from the U.K. and Eder Callejas. Thank you both for your time and dedication.

Now it is time for a few more thank-you’s and I am sure to forget someone- I apologize in advance. It would be a huge list for a site that has been online since 1998, but my memory doesn’t go back that far, and it has been established I am bound to accidentally forget someone anyway.

Special thanks go to J.D. Ashcraft and Brian Clark part of the co-founding think-tank, a very special thank-you to Jim Kukral who took over the reigns for me in leading the blog since last year and doing alot of work you never really get to see because it is behind the scenes- excellent job Jim. I am so glad I don’t have to do what you do or I would lose my mind (no jokes please). I can’t forget our investors of course…and the technical geeks that handle stuff, although we really don’t understand what they say half the time. You know who you are- thank you! :)

The two most important thank-yous are easy enough- they go to our loyal readers, commentors and fans who are an integral part of the community and help drive discussion and debate. Last, but not least the driven bloggers / writers who are so passionate about what they do and their desire to participate, guide and build the discussions with their influence and knowledge.

On behalf of ReveNews.com- my sincerest thanks to you all!

Thank you Linda! I was glad to see the high quality of the runners in the space. To be nominated in the running for a Sherpa award is a high honor in itself. So a hat tip and bow to you! As blogging matures and with efforts like your own (and others) it improves the online revenue community and helps everyone.
