Pundits, Legends, Luminaries, Lend Us Your Thoughts?

On the heels of yesterday’s eComxpo live streaming panel discussions, I see fellow bloggers Peter Figueredo, Beth Kirsch and Shawn Collins have tasted the fruits of live streaming audio… and lived to tell of it! Well done, all.

On that note I’m inviting all of you to participate in 2 short “on demand” programs to better serve our industry:
1) A 20 minute program focusing on offer-based merchants (not retailers).
2) A 20 minute program focusing on retail merchants.

Using the group’s deep experience, we will discuss the pros and cons of all the networks and options… and a do-it-yourself approach (non-networked solution). In the end, the listener would have a feel for how certain companies go about choosing an affiliate network that’s right for them. This is the focus. The pros and cons discussion leads us down a very useful street.

If they’re willing to step forward, our discussion panel shall include:
Patrice Colancecco-Milligan (providing retail and offer perspective)
Beth Kirsch (providing offer perspective)
Colin McDougall (providing the affiliate perspective)
Peter Figueredo (providing a wider agency perspective)
Shawn Collins (providing… well, providing only the perspective that an industry icon can!)

But what of the industry’s legend (who was recently presented with an award from Microsoft bestowed to few in the security industry)?

I have coaxed him, and his accomplice, into the studio this afternoon. Stay tuned for what is bound to be a fascinating conversation involving the Porter-PaperGhost spyware fightin’ duo discussing one of their most exciting spyware busts yet.

"how certain companies go about choosing an affiliate network that's right for them."

Can you have somewhere in the discussion something about the affiliates, the merchant's partners. And does what their partners think come into play/should come into play into what networks merchants choose. Thanks.

    Hi, Jonathan:
Excellent suggestion. Absolutely. Other suggestions are also appreciated. So far I've heard from Shawn, Patrice and Colin and they're on board.

I also want to add to what Jonathan said. Do they think that some networks are better than others or is the fault primarily with particular merchants. Does moving to a particluar network give a merchant a bad rap.

    Thanks, Jack.

I have heard from everyone but Beth that they're excited and ready to participate.
