BAAMC 6th Anniversary Dinner

Last night I had the pleasure to attend the Bay Area Affiliate Manager Coalition‘s 6th Anniversary Dinner in San Francisco. For those of you unfamiliar with the group, the BAAMC is one of the strongest regional groups around the country with a good mailing list. It was founded by Phil Kidwell with ehealthinsurance and Michael Brucker with WebEx. You can view pictures at AffiliateDinner.

Revenue Magazine, the principal sponsor of the event, was there in force. I saw Yvonne Shellerup, Tobias Siegal and Lisa Picarille and met Alexandra Wharton and their new publisher, Linda Holbrook. Check out Lisa’s blog for more on the event. Affiliate Summit and PartnerCentric also sponsored the dinner.

Genius.com and ZipRealty won Revenue Magazine advertising discounts. Walmart, PeoplePC, Riya, SheetMusicPlus, eBay, HomeGain, and TaxBrain won full and expo passes to Affiliate Summit.

All in all, it went very well, with some 50 attendees. My only complaint is the people from the London School of Business who chased away attendees trying to find the meeting room, which was cleverly hidden behind the downstairs bathrooms.

I am a big fan of local affiliate networking events. Normally, it’s a chance for Affiliate Managers to get together with established affiliates. In the future, I hope we can draw more new affiliates out to this sort of thing and see more events. We’re getting some folks together for dinner in Miami and Orlando next week if you’d like to join in.

Thanks for the kind review Brook. Michael and I really enjoy getting everyone together for some good ol'fashion networking. Stay tuned, the BAAMC will be planning another Luncheon and / or Dinner sometimes soon!
