In July of 2006, when Shmuly used to wite for Revenews he had officially posted his 100th revenews blog post online. Since then, Shmuly has been busy making himself known as a YouTube Celebrity. Here is his VERY FUNNY, 100th YouTube Video. Give it a watch, I would love to know what you think:
Update:
Ok, now I am a big Shmuly fan, but setting this up so it’s not spontaneous? Come on… The newspaper he “strolled” into had this to say on their site:
All right. I guess it’s time to reveal the secret: We knew about this way ahead of time, and Shmuel didn’t actually just stroll in off the street.
We take security pretty seriously here, and trust me — there is no way he would’ve made it into the newsroom without approval.
So, just in case any of you are creeped out, don’t be. It was all part of the plan to create a funny video and let Tennenhaus have a little fun at our expense.
Just a little on the lame side. It’s kind of like setting up someone to steal a race car to get a viral video out of it. I feel ashamed for posting it.
Just like most of Shmuly’s blogs here, this has nothing to do with online marketing.
There has been a serious breakdown in security at the Seattle Post-Intelligencer. Whoever let him in the newsroom should be disciplined. I’m surprised he was treated as nicely as he was.
There is nothing funny about this at all, neither the content nor risking the safety of the people in that room.
By the way, his last name is misspelled.
Sherl,
Actually viral videos have a lot to do with online marketing. Don’t be so quick to judge.
As for security, I agree Shmuly should be locked up for his own safty and the safty of others.
As for misspellings, my general disclaimer is that all typos and misspellings are ingeniously crafted for higher search engine rankings on those misspelled terms. We are now the only one listed in Google for Shmuly Tennaenhaus.
Ye Ha. Mr Tennaenhaus we own you!
Thanks for your comments Sheryel
This is not viral video, this is unauthorized tapping of employees at a very large News Organization..
Nothing funny about this at all
I don’t belive that the PI knew ahead of time. If they did Monica Guzman should win an Oscar.
